Summary

This workshop will explore the ethical guidelines for treatment work within the field of substance use disorders and problem gambling. This presentation includes a review of common ethical problems and a format for resolution. Topics to be covered include confidentiality, dual relationships, informed consent, cultural competence, self-care, and professional boundaries. Participants will be asked to share about their own experiences regarding ethical dilemmas in addition to considering scenarios presented in the session.
