Case Presentation: Challenges with Complex Cases and Specialized Services will take place on January 13, 2026 from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM.
This case presentation will discuss the timeline and scope of services provided to an individual through a Problem Gambling Helpline call and connection to Warm Transfer to the initiation and continuation of clinical telehealth. This service delivery also involved engagement with family members and translation support services within the Deaf Community. In this case presentation we will share the robust and comprehensive delivery of services across the continuum of care for an individual in the Deaf Community and how these special services and considerations supported trust in the clinical encounter.
Cost: This is a no-cost training opportunity.
Continuing Education:
1.0 CEU is available for this training which can be used toward obtaining or maintaining the GAMB Endorsement through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board or towards becoming a counselor qualified to treat gambling disorder through the Ohio Social Worker, Counselor, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
Problem Gambling Network of Ohio is an approved continuing education provider through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board, the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board, and the International Problem Gambling and Gaming Certification Organization.
Presenter: Ken Buzzelli, LISW-S, LICDC-CS-GAMB
Ken is a Clinical Social Worker with an LISW-S and LICDC-CS-GAMB. He graduated from CWRU School of Applied Social Science in 1974. He has over 50 years of diverse clinical and administrative experience. He recently retired from Child Guidance and Family Solutions in Akron, Ohio. Ken continues practicing clinical social work at Comprehensive Psychiatric Services in Beachwood, Ohio. He is a graduate of the Ohio Gambling Fellowship Program and serves as an on-call specialist for the Warm Transfer Line, in collaboration with the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline. Ken is also a therapist for the Ohio Gambling Telehealth Network (OGTN).
