Summary
Description
This presentation describes the clinical evaluation, treatment plan, and therapeutic interventions used by the therapist. The Martinez family’s case illustrates the systemic impact of problem gambling and the efficacy of integrating cognitive-behavioral and family systems interventions. Through psychoeducation, skill-building, and peer support, the family has made significant strides in communication, emotional regulation, and financial stability. It provides an opportunity for clinical professionals to examine the counseling process and interventions and ask questions about the decisions made by the therapist as treatment progresses. It does not provide information on ethics or supervision.
